Angelic Song's Version of
'Twas the Night Before Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas;
And all through the house;
Not a creature was stirring;
'Cept Mom and her mouse.
The children were nestled;
All snug in their beds;
While visions of Beanies;
Danced in their heads!
Paper and ribbons;
Were strung on the floor;
While lights softly twinkled;
Around the front door.
When out on the porch;
There arose such a clatter;
Mom sprang from her chair;
To see what was the matter!
Away to the front door;
Mom flew like a flash;
Then tripping on toys;
We heard Momma crash!
She looked rather dazed;
As she moaned through her teeth;
And garland encircled;
Her head like a wreath.
She pulled herself up;
And opened the door;
Then, in on the mat;
Some relatives poured.
Their cheeks were all rosie;
Their noses like cherries;
And they looked all exhausted;
And hasseled and harried.
They gave Momma gifts;
To pile 'neath the tree;
All labeled for;
Dad, Sis, Momma, and me.
They all exchanged hugs;
And all kinds of news;
Then bade Mom farewell;
For home they must cruise.
But I heard them exclaim;
'Er they drove out of site;
"Merry Christmas to All;
And to all a good night!"
