Lately, I've been a very privileged lady.  I've been the recipient of some very special poetry by a very special person, The Faerie Keeper.  The following poetry is from him.

      Thank you so much, Denny!  I am so honored you've spent time perusing my little corner of the Web!

My Grandparents are very special to me:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Faerie song in a Faerie Grandma's ears,
linger in our hearts for years and years;
For in the moment of a young ones birth,
an elder is younger and lives in mirth.
A cycle of living in both, are younger years,
bonded together and singing out our cheers;
So when you see a baby cuddle and then coo,
think about the Faerie Grandma living in you.
When baby is older and then becomes a teen,
something of a grandma in them is often seen;
If you look closely and listen to what they say,
what your grandma has given, you may repay.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Living life in its fullest,
that's the ultimate prize,
now let's try this on for size.

Try caring for someone,
And showing it, too,
Tell them thank goodness,
for good friends-
Friends just like you!

Do this for a friend,
who has done nothing for you,
just to let them know you knew,
in TSF where friendship's begin.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pain you languish, so hear!
Arise from this body in pain,
for my good friend named cheer,
fills me and you shall not remain.
Cheer has not left, for inside,
awaits the hand of a friend;
In friends many "happies" abide,
and a swift journey they begin.
Onward marching to the beat,
for in you compassion entreat,
now two cheerful hands meet.
Shake these hands on ground,
Cherubs and cowboys are found,
and some pig tails, but no frowns.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Are we all winners they ask,
as if first in some task;
Normally the answer would be,
something tangible to see.

So we continue with our team,
just fine, or so it would seem;
Then a cheer came our own way,
with something special to say.

Glowing words tugged at our heart,
wisdom from a Faerie to impart;
The question is answered in kind,
cheer for a Kindred spirit we find.

For in our human world days end,
on this fact we can always depend;
Thanks to a Spirit who was kind,
time is also a friend we find.

On Courage

Much has been said, is said and will be said of courage.
Courage takes may forms, is not the providence of
mere men or women or children.  Nor does it seek
one nationality or religious persuasion.  For true courage
is a matter of the mind.  The mind which has found
reason which is not persuaded by the whims of the
majority, nor swayed by public opinion, nor formed
from shallow thought.

Real courage is when the body, mind and spirit become
one in purpose and determination against all odds,
against all reason and forged in the combat of wills,
not because its time has come, but because it is
about time a person has courage.

Now we will show our courage and pen a cheer,
an ode of thanksgiving, a hymn of humility and
a prayer of supplication to HE who will  be with us
until our end time and into eternity.
